Bible Study Methods is a course designed to introduce you a procedure for studying the Bible in a systematic manner and give you an opportunity to develop your skills, such as reading, understanding, correlating, applying, and communicating the biblical texts.

The classic principles of interpretation of the Scripture are primarily based on the right Bible study methods. A Bible student has to turn theory into practice by applying the principles taught through this course. This course will cover
the entire process of Bible Study, from motivation to interpretive principles, through skills and tools, all the way to communicate the Bible texts to others.

The aim of the course is to make the disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ to be thoroughly equipped with the Word of God. As 2 Tim. 2:15 exhorts, "… rightly dividing the word of truth…" is a serious business. The purpose is "… that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." (2 Tim. 3:17).

Level- I – Ancient Truths for Modern Times (Old & New Testament Surveys)

Description: A book-by-book survey of the Old and New Testaments with special attention given to Suggested reading of key chapters, Memory work, Main message, Brief outline, and Application to life. It is intended to discover the place of each Scripture in God’s total progressive revelation and to apply practical principles for contemporary Christian living.

1. Old Testament Survey: OT Survey has two Units, Unit I and Unit II each contains 13 lessons, totaling 26 lessons. It consists of a study guide (Separate guide for both Teacher & Student) with accompanying the audio.
2. New Testament Survey: NT Survey also has two Units, Unit I and Unit II each contains 13 lessons, totaling 26 lessons. It consists of a study guide (Separate guide for both Teacher & Student) with accompanying the audio.

Duration of OT Survey & NT Survey: There are 26 lessons in OT Survey and 26 lessons in NT Survey. Each lesson can be covered in two class hours (1 Class Hr. equals 40 to 50 min.).

• 4 Class hours/week: If two lessons are covered per week (usually 4 class hours of study), this study can be completed in six months (25 weeks). The 26 lessons of Unit 1 & II (Each Unit has 13 Lessons) of OT Survey can be covered in 6 months. The same way NT Survey also can be covered in the next 6 months.
• 2 Class hours/week: If one lesson is covered per week (usually 2 class hours of study), this study can be completed in less than 12 months (50 weeks). In this way, both NT Survey and OT Survey can be covered in less than two years.

Description: An in-depth, Bible-based discipleship study based on Matthew 7:1-5. Includes the study book and audio. The pastors attending the conference were there to be taught and disciplined in order that they could then disciple others (2 Timothy 2:2).  The same way the translators of the study materials are to be disciplined so that they may understand the context of the material being taught.  Understanding the context is essential to ensuring accuracy as we have the material translated from English into the languages of our pastor/students: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Oriya, Malayalam, Marathi etc.

Duration of the Course: There are 19 lessons, and each lesson can be covered in two class hours. If each of the 19 lessons is done weekly in a daily 40-50 minute study, this study can be covered in 10 months.

Bible Study Methods

A manual on how to study the Bible and rules for interpreting scripture.

Description: Covers the great doctrines of the Scripture such as the Bible, God,  the Holy Spirit, the Creation, Satan, Man, Sin, Christ, Salvation, Separation, the Church, and the Future Things.

Duration of the Course: There are six units comprising 73 lessons, each lesson can be covered in one class hour with 40 to 50 minutes.

• One Class hour/week: If one lesson is covered per week, this study can be completed in less than 18 months (73 to 75 weeks).
• Two Class hours/week: If two lessons are covered per week, this study can be completed in less than 10 months (38 weeks).

This course will define what Biblical Preaching is, offer a step-by-step method of constructing biblical messages, discover different ways a sermon can be outlined, and learn methods of delivery of sermons.
